Government programs and grants slashed for dozens of community groups and arts organizations in N.S.

The long list of cuts to government programs and community grants was released to journalists after question period in the legislature at about 4:25pm Tuesday.

But politicians knew more cuts were on the way, and NDP Leader Claudia Chender led off question period by asking Houston if he knew the people working at the Stanfield Airport’s visitor information centre would be losing their jobs when he posed for a group photo recently.
