Nova Scotia Power says former customers' data may also have been stolen, expands credit monitoring

“We still don’t have answers from Nova Scotia Power about why social insurance numbers were kept on file. Sensitive information was stolen, and people are rightly upset and worried about their personal information being taken,” she said.

“This is a utility that all residents of the province are required to be customers of – they have to do better. Government has a role to play to ensure that Nova Scotia Power is working for Nova Scotians.”
