Nova Scotia abandons plan to update gender guidelines for schools

NDP Leader Claudia Chender said if stakeholders aren’t satisfied with where the government has landed on this issue, it needs to do more engagement work.

She said the unreleased update to the guidelines is like other things that “just disappear” under this government, including a student housing strategy, which was promised and later abandoned, and the report on environmental racism, which the government commissioned and has so far refused to release.
