Trainyard General Store: 10th Anniversary Congratulations
CLAUDIA CHENDER: I rise today to recognize one of the cutest gift and hobby shops in Dartmouth South. Owned by Erin Ferguson, the Trainyard General Store recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. Erin has worked tirelessly to grow Trainyard’s presence and impact in the community. As an artist herself, she uplifts local makers, and as an activist she listens and responds to Dartmouth’s needs.
Trainyard is more than just a store: it’s a force for good. Through Trainyard Connect they’ve donated over $62,000 to local non-profits, supported anti-racism and 2SLGBTQIA+ initiatives, and created an inclusive, accessible space. They champion sustainability, host workshops that foster connection, and collaborate on community events. Erin’s leadership ensures that Trainyard remains a welcoming, engaged, and generous part of Dartmouth. I ask the House to please join me in congratulating Erin on the 10th anniversary of an incredible local business.
