🌈 The Pupper's Parade (Halifax Pride 2019)

“Attention all doggos, puppers, and their hoomans: welcome to our second annual pooch pride parade in the park! Sport your rainbow collars, bandanas, and leashes and join us at Shubie Park for a woofin’ tail waggin’ walk in the woods!

We will be meeting in the main grass area outside of the Fairbanks Centre at 54 Locks Road. Feel free to arrive around 11:30am for an initial social period. We will begin the walk at 12 noon, so please don't be late or you might miss us! We will be walking through the park together as a group and ending our walk at the off leash dog park area where people can stick around to socialize with other owners while our dogs play.

Cassie from Wet Nose Images - Halifax Dog Photographer will be taking some candid photos during the walk, as well as some posed portraits at the end so your pups can show off their rainbow attire!

We ask that dogs who will be off leash lead the way, and dogs who will remain on leash bring up the rear, just to avoid any unwanted interactions. All owners are responsible for picking up after their pet and keeping their dog under control at all times. Garbage cans are available throughout the park, however the washrooms for hoomans can only be found at the park entrance across from the Fairbanks Centre. The paths are well groomed with no steep hills for fairly good accessibility for most levels of mobility. This event is free to attend!

Please invite all of your friends! Let's make this parade even bigger than last year. “
