Making Waste Free Shampoo Bars

Did you know you can make your own shampoo? Reduce your plastics consumption and the clutter in your shower. In this workshop you will learn about soap making and try your hand at a recipe for shampoo bars. Natasha Dawn of Merlin's Apothecary will introduce us to the basics of soap making—safe handling of ingredients, necessary materials and the steps and timing to producing your own shampoo bars. This will be a guided, hands-on workshop. All participants will be asked to bring an apron, latex or rubber gloves and eye protection (even glasses will do). If you can bring a digital scale that measures ounces/grams, please let us know. Also, an additional list of ingredients and supplies to bring will be communicated to individuals by email (each person will be responsible for bringing something to keep our costs low). You will take home a recipe, some shampoo and the experience of DIY shampoo bar making.

Looking forward to seeing you!
