Canning Creations (Round One): Summer Salsa Party
"Let the harvest begin!
Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Bernardin and tons of jars donated to Life.School.House by a lovely good samaritan who dropped a donation off in our driveway and didn't even stick around for a thank you(!), we are going to start a series of canning classes this summer/fall. Join us to learn how to preserve the harvest and eat healthy and local all year round without breaking the bank. Participants will be asked to bring supplies including local ingredients but we will do best to accommodate from our community garden.
If this is your first time attending a barter-based skills-trade class, note that there are no fees for participating but attendees are encouraged to bring an item to offer in exchange for the knowledge shared in addition to any supplies required for the class. Barter items are not required - do not let barter be a barrier for your participation :)
For this session our facilitator would gratefully accept any of the following barter items:
- Fresh local veggies and fruit
- Sparkling water
- Homemade jam/ bread/ soup/ baked goods
We have space for 8 in this class."
WHEN: Sunday, August 12 at 2 PM - 5 PM
WHERE: Life.School.House, 315 Portland Street, Dartmouth
HOW MUCH: There is no fee associated with this ticket but you must have a ticket to confirm your spot in the class so that we can keep track of registrations. If you have any difficulty registering you can send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
