Open Stage Night

"Community theatre is all about affording people the opportunity to get on stage and display  their talent. Dartmouth Players’ Open Stage Nights do precisely that, and provide a wonderful evening of entertainment!

What will you see? Well, so far we’ve had singers, musicians, skits, spoken word, play excerpts, comedians, puppeteers, and even burlesque. These evenings are the perfect opportunity for people to strut their stuff on the boards of our theatre without having to audition. Please keep in mind that we do not always know the content of the acts being performed, so Open Stage Nights are for adults only.

It wouldn’t be a show without an audience, so even if you do not wish to perform, please join us for a relaxed and entertaining evening of fun with members of your community.

Our open stage nights are also a fund raiser for Dartmouth Players, but to keep it as accessible to everyone, admission is strictly pay-what-you can. Paying admission or performing in the show also gets you a chance at a nightly door prize!

Singers please note, because we don’t have a live house band, we’ll be looking for any background accompanying music for your song from you. (Bring a CD or have the music on your phone).

For Open Stage Nights, we only open the bottom theatre doors, so the main theatre  doors upstairs remain locked. If you are interested in performing or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at openstagenight@outlook.com with “Open Stage” as your subject line."
