Bowl for Kids Sake

ENTER A TEAM - JOIN THE FUN!
Bowl for Kids Sake is the key fundraising campaign for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Funds raised support mentoring programs for youth who are at risk of not fulfilling their potential because of circumstances beyond their control. Currently, there are over 100 youth in Greater Halifax waiting to be matched with a mentor.

OUTCOME FOCUS
Mentoring has been proven as an intervention that re-maps brain architecture and builds resilience in at-risk youth. Something as simple as a consistent, positive relationship with a mentor, promotes healthy development, creating a foundation for school achievement, economic productivity, and responsible citizenship. Bowl for Kids Sake is a team-based fundraising vehicle which assists in delivering these outcomes.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Bowl for Kids Sake can be a component of a company’s corporate social responsibility program by engaging employees and customers to support a youth-centered cause. The campaign encourages team building and working together toward a common goal. The bowling events at the end of the campaign allow co-workers to bond over their philanthropic efforts, and represent their employer in a public way.
